Santhwana Rehabilitation Center is a beacon of hope for individuals with mental health challenges, offering them care, dignity, and a chance to rebuild their lives. Our journey began in 2005 in Monvila, Trivandrum, when we started as Sadhana Renewal Centre, a joint initiative with TSSS and CMF. For 18 years, we provided shelter and rehabilitation to those in need, ensuring they were not forgotten by society. Recognizing the need for a permanent and well-equipped facility, we took a bold step in 2021 by purchasing land 11 km away in Puthenthope. With unwavering faith and the generosity of our supporters, we built a new home for our residents, which was blessed and inaugurated on August 8, 2022.
Today, Santhwana is home to 61 individuals, many of whom were once wandering the streets due to their mental illness. Here, they receive proper medical care, personal attention, and a nurturing environment, helping them regain their sense of identity and dignity. Our work is deeply rooted in community support. Many well-wishers contribute food, donations, and essentials on special occasions like birthdays, wedding anniversaries, and memorial days. However, to sustain the center year-round and continue providing essential care, we rely on external support.
